Connexus Energy, the largest electric cooperative in Minnesota with 140,000 meters, has made a big investment for the benefit of its members.  The co-op will be spending $20 million to install new electric meters that can be read remotely.  Currently, Connexus still collects meter information manually with employees driving 1 million miles a year to get meter readings.  The new Smart Meter technology will provide long- term savings and efficiency for Connexus members.
